Obituary for Mary Alice Mealey

Mary Alice Mealey, 74, of Weston, departed this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, 2022 at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Mary was born in Weston on February 26, 1948, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Crawford) Bonnett. Mary was united in marriage on February 4, 1967 to her late husband Willard Eugene Mealey, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2021. Together they shared a wonderful 54 years, and now have been reunited for eternity.

Cherishing the life of Mary are her two children: Michael Mealey, and wife Kimberly, of Fort Mill, SC, and Kenneth Mealey, and wife Lori, of Weston, WV, 4 grandchildren: Zach Mealey, Brandon Mealey, Mikala Mealey, and Grant Mealey, 2 great grandchildren: Braden Mealey and Colton Mealey, 3 brothers: John Bonnett of Box Elder, SD, Tom Bonnett of Weston, WV, and Tim Bonnett of Weston, WV, 1 sister: Barbara Marsh of Horner, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was a graduate of Weston High School. She had retired from the Weston Walmart with 25+ years of service. Mary attended the New Life Southern Baptist Church of Glady Fork. She enjoyed cooking and doing puzzles. Mary loved watching cooking shows and the West Virginia Mountaineers football and basketball teams on television. Mary and her family loved to gather and eat and visit with friends at Giovanni’s in Weston. Most of all, Mary cherished time spent with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dave Riddle officiating. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV.
