Obituary for Mary Virginia Grogg (Cavallier)

Beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt, Mary Virginia Marie Cavallier-Grogg, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020. She was born on Saturday, July 17th, 1943 in Shinnston, WV to the late Joe and Olaf Irene Cavallier. On Sunday, August 3rd, 1969, she married her loving and devoted husband, Herbert Blair “John” Grogg and they spent 51 wonderful years together, whom will miss her dearly.

Mary is survived by her husband, John Grogg, her son: Sam Grogg and wife Delores of Weston: six grandchildren: Jessica, Heather and husband Corey, Samantha and husband Thomas, Caitlann and husband Isaac, Breanna and husband Tony and Harley; twelve great grandchildren: Delijah, Lydiah, SaBrieah, Clayton, Kaiden, Haley, Bentley, Kinsley, Dominic, Brayden, Ava, and Joseph; one brother: Russell Cavallier of Mt. Clare, one sister; Darlene Cavins of Weston, four ½ siblings; Kathy, Loretta, Johnny, and Becky Cavallier, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her loving dog and companion; CoCo.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by six siblings; Patricia, Jimmie, Ronnie, Johnny, Margaret and Joey Cavallier, and two infant siblings; Irene and Charles Cavallier.

Mary loved going to yard sales and scratching lottery tickets. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary loved watching westerns, Christmas and Elvis Presley. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing and cleaning house. Mary touched many lives and will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. to celebrate her life. A private family service will follow at 12:00 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Corey Matheny officiating.
