Obituary for Marlana Loren "Lanie" Cole

Marlana (Lanie) Loren Cole born on March 6, 1964 to the late Harold Q. and Mary Lee Bee Cole gained her wings on January 15, 2022. Her battle with Huntington’s Disease took 13 years of her life, but she fought till the very end.

She loved cooking, cleaning, gardening and canning, but most of all she loved and cherished her children. She leaves behind her beautiful daughter Ellie and Joe, whom she was so proud of. Lanie also leaves two handsome sons, Vinson and Kobe that she always said were the most handsomest guys in the world. She is also survived by one brother Roger (Goat) Cole of Weston, 4 sisters, Marilyn Cole Posey who was her constant companion and caregiver, Marta Cole and husband James Denney of Girard, Ohio, Chelle Cole and her companion Mike, and Marissa Cole Aman and husband Sam of Jane Lew. Lanie is also survived by 6 nieces, Terra Rowan, Lexie, Jorydn, Kayla Lewis, and Payton Aman, Chaylee Ferrinola, 6 nephews, Jay Posey, Shane Posey, Harry McCartney, Cameron Ruble, and Jonathan Cole of Nevada and Austin McClung of Weston. She adored all her nieces and nephews and her love for them will go on forever.

Those waiting on the other side for her were her Dad and Mother, her brother Ronnie (BeBop), brother Robbie (Orb), and sister Marcia Lynn McCartney.

Lanie was a Methodist by faith and began her journey with the Lord two years ago. Her sister Marilyn read her scripture from the Bible and Lanie looked forward to learning more about her Lord each day. Those of us left behind will cherish her banana bread, coffee, biscuits, and anything else she made. She loved every CNA and Nurse at the Glenville Center and they truly loved her. God speed our Angel Lord.

Lanie’s request for cremation has been honored by Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston. A private scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
