Obituary for Margret Ann Willey

Margret Ann Willey, 78, of Burnsville, WV passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV. She was born in Burnsville, WV on March 4, 1944 to the late Harry Wilson and Ressie (Vankirk) Wilson. Margret was united in marriage to Bennie Lee Willey who preceded her in death.

Margret is survived by one daughter Cynthia Warren and husband Jason of New Martinsville, WV, 3 step children: Gary Willey of New Martinsville, WV, Scarlet Deuter of CA, and Barney Willey of New Martinsville, WV, 9 grandchildren: Ethan Warren, Alyssa Warren, Reece Warren, Angelina Warren, Skylar Deuter, Kira Fetty, Joey Willey, Amanda Hendershot, and Kevin Willey, and several great grandchildren, 1 sister: Wanda “Sue” Strader of Coraopolis PA, 3 brothers: Terry Wilson of Coraopolis PA, Jerry Wilson of Orlando WV, and Randy Wilson of Frametown WV, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margret was preceded in death by a sister Dixie Ratliff, and a brother Harry Wilson, Jr.

Margret was a graduate of Burnsville High School. Margret was a care giver for many years to her sister and mother. She also helped her daughter and son-in-law when in the Navy with their children. She was trained and worked for a short time as hairdresser. Margret was a volunteer at the Burnsville Public Library. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #3757 of Burnsville, Friends of the Burnsville Lake and “Burnsville” Kanawha Alumni Association. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and jewelry making. Margret was always there for anyone who needed her and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday April 22, 2022 from 5PM-7PM, at 630PM we will allow time for anyone who would like to speak. A private family burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Morgan Family Cemetery in Porters Falls, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Burnsville Public Library at 235 Kanawha Avenue Burnsville, WV 26335.
