Obituary for Margaret Ann Copenhaver
Margaret Ann Copenhaver, 72, of Weston went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 following a brief illness at United Hospital Center. Margaret was born on May 6th, 1948 in Weston, WV to the late Thomas Posey and Sarah Fisher Posey. She was united in marriage on December 30th, 1983 to Charles L. Copenhaver who preceded her in death on January 25th, 2019.
Cherishing a lifetime of memories of Margaret are her 3 sons: Robert Posey of Weston, WV, Jeff Posey and wife Kim of Jane Lew, WV and Scott Posey and wife Debbie of Weston, WV, 1 daughter: Lee Ann Coffield of Weston, WV, 12 grandchildren: Thomas Seth, Isabella, Michael, Makayla, Tasha, Colby, Tiffani, Kylee, Edward, Cayla, Beth and Sam, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Sharon Kay Hitt of Weston, WV and 1 sister-in-law: Janie Posey of Weston, WV and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by 1 son: Charles Thomas Copenhaver, 2 brothers: Ronnie Fisher and Kenneth Posey, and her favorite son-in-law Junie Coffield.
Margaret was a graduate of Weston High School in 1966. She was retired from William Sharpe Hospital with 28 years of service. Margaret was a Methodist by faith and attended the Waldeck United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her fiancé Charlie Keene. She was very active in the community and enjoyed volunteering at the Theresa Snaith Auxillary at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital and Our Neighbor of Weston, which most was done with her life-long friend Betty Rush by her side. Margaret’s dog “Bubby” was loved dearly and will miss her. Margaret was taken too soon in life and will be missed by all who knew her.
At the family’s request, due to Covid 19 and out of an abundance of caution, a private family visitation and service will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston, WV on Sunday, December 6th, 2020 with life-long friend Russell Furr honored to officiate.
