Obituary for Lola Faye Jerden

Lola Faye (Bleigh) Jerden also known as “Nan”, 77, of Jane Lew, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4th, 2021. She was born on January 19th, 1944 in Webster County to the late Noah M. Bleigh, Sr. and Lanna (Cool) Bleigh. On June 28th, 1963, Lola was united in marriage to Blaine Jerden, who survives. Together they shared 58 wonderful years together.

Cherishing the love and memories of Lola are her husband Blaine Jerden of Jane Lew, 5 children: Allen Jerden (Diane) of Walker, WV, Kevin Jerden (Sheri) of Broad Run, WV, Steve Jerden (Tricia) of Weston, WV, Eric Jerden (Judy) of Westfield, WV and Christina Herrod (Stanley) of Jane Lew, WV, 12 grandchildren: Mary J. Kelso (Lloyd), Jeremy Jerden (Caitlyn), Audra Lennen (Zachary), Erin Warner (Stephen), Jonathan Jerden (Abbie), Nick Jerden and fiancé Tori White, Joseph Jerden, Hannah Herrod, Ben Jerden, Madalynn Herrod, Jayna Jerden, and Ambie Herrod, 6 great grandchildren: Asa and Miles Warner, Greyson and Jackson Jerden, Andrew Jerden, Cohen Lennen, and Baby Alex Jerden arriving in December, 10 siblings: Loretta Carpenter of Virginia, Lois Garrison (Bob) of Weston, Lula Bleigh of Weston, Noah Bleigh, Jr. (Sharon) of Jane Lew, Leone Riffle (Claude) of Kingwood, Linda Bowman (Steve) of Morgantown, Bill Bleigh of North Carolina, Peggy Bleigh of Weston, Louise Bleigh of Weston, and Roger Bleigh (Lynn) of Buckhannon.

Lola was a graduate of Weston High School. She was a devoted Christian and member of the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Lola was very active in her church and served as the Director of Vacation Bible School and a Sunday School Teacher. Lola was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt and babysitter to many children whom she loved as her own. She was a faithful prayer warrior, having read her daily devotion and Bible daily and named her family in notes each day of when and why they were prayed for. Lola knew no stranger and loved her country, God, and family. She cherished every minute spent with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Monday, November 8th, 2021 from 11AM-2PM. The funeral service will begin at 2PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Kenny Kendall, Russell Furr, and Johnny Davis officiating.
