Obituary for Kenneth Michael "Mike" Taylor

Kenneth Michael Taylor, 70, of Jane Lew passed away on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport, WV. He was born in Lewis County on July 8th, 1950: son of the late Frank Taylor and Virginia (Linger) Taylor. On July 9th, 1968, Mike married Sharon (Skinner) Taylor, who preceded him in death on May 10th, 2018.

Mike is survived by his loving son: Michael Scott Taylor and wife Emily of Horner, two special grandchildren: Paul Ryan Matheny and Cory Joseph King and two very special great-grandchildren: Cooper James and Colton Ray Matheny. In addition to his parents and wife Sharon, Mike was preceded in death by twin sons: Kevin and Christopher Taylor.

Mr. Taylor worked with Allegheny Nuclear Survey with 19 Years of service. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the class of 1968. Mike was a coach with the Lewis Little League and Senior League for 27 years serving as a coach for the Lakers and later on with the Colts in Little League and the Raptors in the Senior League. He enjoyed sports in general. Family was always special to him and he loved spending time and talking with them.

Mike’s wishes to be cremated are being honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Lewis officiating. Fellowship time will be held from 4-6 p.m. A private inurnment of his ashes will be held at Georgetown Cemetery of Horner, WV.
