Obituary for John Fitzgerald Fultineer

John Fitzgerald Fultineer, 54, of Alum Bridge passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 following an automobile accident. He was born in Lewis County on April 9, 1965: son of step father Charles Butcher and mother Anna L.( Fultineer) Butcher of Jane Lew. On June 3, 1995, he married Elizabeth (McCue) Fultineer, who survives.

John is also survived by two daughters: Barbara Fultineer-Ryan of Weston and Stephanie Fultineer of Alum Bridge, four sons: Robbie Watson of Weston, Hunter Fultineer, Timothy Lake and Steven Lake all of Alum Bridge and 11 grandchildren: Hayden Fultineer, Payden Fultineer, Trayden Fultineer, Zayden Fultineer, Jaiden Ryan , Kalia Ryan, Jozlynn Lake, Kaelynn Lake, Kory Lake, Faith Pumphrey and Creeden Watson. He is also survived by two brothers: Jackie Fultineer of Alum Bridge and Chuck Butcher of New York, one sister: Tammy Schroeder of Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fultineer was a rig operator with Syrews Well Service. He was a handyman who tried to help all his neighbors and friends. His hobbies included woodworking and camping. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. John was a hero who died saving his children from the same accident which took his life.

Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Following services, John will be cremated.
