Jessie Mae Carpenter of Glenville WV passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday January 16th at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Sutton WV on June 26th 1929; the daughter of the late Clyde Brady and Carrie (Dennison) Brady. Her husband of 19 years, Roy Carpenter preceded her in death in October of 2009.

Jessie is survived by a nephew Monte Carpenter and his wife Lucy of Keyser WV, Sonia Wilt, caregiver and “adopted daughter," and Annabelle Wimer, her friend of 30 years. Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mrs. Carpenter was a cook at the Weston State Hospital. She was a member of the Troy First Baptist Church of Troy WV. She was a member of the Lions Club of Glenville WV. She loved to garden, can, and was an avid hunter.

Friends will be received at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 North Main Avenue Weston, WV on Wednesday January 20th 2021 from 11am until 12 noon. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2pm from the Barker Ridge Cemetery in Braxton County WV with Pastor Russ Locke officiating.
