Jay Blair Beckman, 78, of Weston passed away on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born in Deer Park, MD on August 24th, 1942 to the late William Howard Beckman and Retta May (McCray) Beckman.
Jay is survived by 1 sister: Diann Boggs of Weston, 1 brother: Joe Beckman and wife Bev of Weston, 1 nephew: Jeff Beckman and wife Thelma and 2 great-nephews: Christopher and Justin Beckman.
In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by 1 brother: Boyd Beckman and his wife Norma Jean (Mick) Beckman, 1 niece: Tracy Beckman, 1 nephew: David Beckman and a brother-in-law Friel Boggs.
Jay was a graduate of Weston High School in Weston, WV. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force from January 29th, 1963 to January 27th, 1967. In Ohio, he worked at the Parker Hannifin Factory in the Shipping Department. After moving to Weston he became a self-employed carpenter and block layer. Jay was Methodist by faith. He enjoyed reading and watching his Western television shows.
