Obituary for Janice Elaine Hinkle
Janice Elaine Hinkle, 81, of Weston, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born in Ritchie County, WV on March 9, 1941, daughter of the late Russell and Ruth (Britton) Summers. Janice was united in marriage to Charles Hinkle, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 31, 2006.
Janice is survived by three daughters, Melissa Bleigh and husband Lester of Weston, Bonnie and Becky of Pittsburgh, PA, and one sister, Connie Rappa of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Charles, Janice was preceded in death by two sisters, Judith Wood and Cheryl Simonton.
Janice was a graduate of Weston High School class of 1959. She worked as a manager at McDonald’s in Virginia and Weston, WV and retired from the Weston Moose Lodge #1376 as a bartender. Janice enjoyed working on arts and crafts and watching TV. She loved her terrier dog Rascal and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home of 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Monday January 2, 2023 from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will be held at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton, WV at 10AM.
