Helen Dolores Paugh, 90, of Shadybrook community of Weston passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in the comfort of her home following a brief illness. She was born in Weston, WV on December 13, 1931, daughter of the late Arry Hugh and Helen Lorraine (Luzader) Alderman.
Dolores’s memory will be cherished by five children: Chuck Paugh of Laurel, MD, Dennis Paugh of Temple, GA, Susan (Jordan) Cooper and husband Ed of Lost Creek, Chip Jordan and wife Lesa and Eric Paugh and wife Barb both of Weston. Her memory will also be cherished by 8 grandchildren: Nikki, Jay, Brannon, Kylee, Adam, Maddie, Emily and Jack and 11 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Lexie, Amelia, Jace, Corley, Maggie, Lucy, Truman, Hadlee, Sawyer and Hendrix. In addition to her parents, grandparents and uncles, who were like brothers, Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby and two grandchildren: Sean and Sandy.
Mrs. Paugh retired from the Weston State Hopital with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Haleville Union Mission Church of Weston where she played piano and sang in the choir.
Throughout her life, Dolores was a shining example of the traits of a good wife, mother, and neighbor. Her quick wit and pro cooking skills will be missed by family and friends. This world was truly a better place by her presence-we believe heaven’s choir is receiving a true gem.
Family and friends will gather at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Dan Vaughn officiating.
