Obituary for Gregory Allen Stark
Gregory Allen Stark, 59, of Camden passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Morgantown on December 16, 1959: son of the late Charles Stark and Joan (Feagans) Stark.
Mr. Stark is survived by two children: Elizabeth Stark of Weston and Adam Stark and wife Shannon of Lost Creek. He is also survived by his fiancé: Karen Barton and her two children: Kelcie Barton of Bridgeport and Korrie Barton of Morgantown. Greg is also survived by four brothers: James Stark and wife Bonnie of Yellowstone National Park, WY, Steve Stark and wife Kim of Russellville, AR, Doug Stark of Camden and John Stark of Alum Bridge and several nieces and nephews. He also had two dogs Josie and Bella who were his companions.
Mr. Stark was a Business Development Manager for Penspen Company of Houston, TX. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School attended Glenville State College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Land Management. Greg was the mayor of Weston from 1989-91. He was active with the Weston and Pricetown Volunteer Fire Departments, Lewis County Fire Board, Lewis County Fire Commission and the Lewis County Emergency Squad. Greg was also a member of the Economic Development Authority, Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, and IOGA (Independent Oil & Gas Association).
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. Following visitation and per Greg’s wishes, he will be cremated.
