Obituary for Glenda Faye Heffinger (James)
Glenda Faye Heffinger, 68, of West Milford community passed away on Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born in Caldwell, OH on September 15th, 1951: daughter of the late Ray William James and Alda Mae Rylee James. On July 24th, 1973, she married the love of her life, Jackie Dean Heffinger, who survives.
Glenda is survived by two sons: Gregory Dean Heffinger and wife Jill and James Bradley Heffinger and wife Ashley both of Lost Creek, WV. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Haleigh Nacole Heffinger, Wyatt Ray Heffinger, Abbey Mae Heffinger, Charlee Marie Heffinger, Jasa Ann Pumphrey, and Seth Patrick Pumphrey. Glenda was blessed with a large family. She is survived by one brother: Darrell James and wife Debra of Jane Lew, WV, two sisters: Delcia Cayton and husband William of Walkersville, WV, and Lora Riffle and husband Robert of Richmond, VA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by one daughter: Amy Elizabeth Heffinger, one son: Jackie Ray Heffinger, one brother: Danny W. James and one sister: Patricia Gail James.
Mrs. Heffinger was a homemaker. She was a graduate of South Harrison High School and a life member of the DAV Auxillary of Weston. Glenda enjoyed helping and taking care of others. Her greatest joy in life was spending time and doing things with her family.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 North Main Avenue of Weston, WV on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 from 11AM until 1PM. Graveside services will follow at 1PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV with Pastor Jay Burkhart and Pastor Robert Riffle officiating. Interment will follow graveside services. Mrs. Heffinger will be blessed to have her family as pallbearers: Brad, Greg, and Wyatt Heffinger, Michael and Darrel James and Justin Riffle.
