Obituary for Geraldine Ann Bruso
Geraldine Ann Bruso, 70, of Buckhannon went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 12th, 2022 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston, WV. She was born in Morgantown on August 31st, 1952: daughter of the late Charles Aaron Groves and Wanda (Bankhead) Groves. On July 4th, she married David Allen Bruso, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2021.
Cherishing her memory are two daughters: Crystle Cartagena and son-in-law Ramon of Weston and Jessica Lee Bruso of Buckhannon, two grandchildren: Alexis and Alex Cartagena and four great grandchildren: Kamron Ashcraft, Azaria Haulterman, Jameson Cartagena and Casius Littles. Her memory will also be cherished by three brothers: Raymond Groves of Buckhannon, Ronnie Groves of Summersville and John Groves of Lost Creek, two sisters: Sandra Neal of Conway, SC and Rebecca Jeney of Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband David, Geraldine was preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry, Bobby and Donald Groves.
Mrs. Bruso was a home maker. She had worked at a Soldier’s Home in Massachusetts and recently with Public Partnerships in Buckhannon, WV. Geraldine liked to watch the John Hagee Ministries on TV. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds and picking flowers. She loved to look at and take pictures of the sky and loved the beach. One of her favorite hobbies was shopping and she had a lot of nice clothes to show for it. Geraldine was loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed.
