Gary Linn Carder, 72, of Linn went to meet his Lord after an extended illness on Sunday, September 5th, 2021. He passed with his loving wife of 25 years by his side in the comfort of his home and under the compassionate care of WV Caring Hospice and Beverly Tomey of the Gilmer County Senior Center.
He was born July 16th, 1949 a son of the late Ralph and Mary (Barker) Carder.
Gary was a loving husband to Anita Carder, a loving father to Gary Carder, Jr. (Carolyn) of Burnsville, WV, Tim Carder (Angie) of Linn, WV and John Carder (Roberta) of Linn, WV. He was also a loving uncle/father to his nieces Ashley Randolph (Craig) and Amber Hitt (Wayne), nephew Greg Hitt, which he helped raise as his own and stepdaughter Trisha Anderson (Jason) of Buckhannon, WV.
Gary had 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren whom he loved to spoil.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother Mary Barker Carder, his father Ralph Carder and several brothers and sisters: Leonard, Kennard, Betty, Corrine, Wanda and Jeannie.
Gary is survived by two sisters Debbie (Roger) Rice of OH and Maxine Perry of PA and one brother Larry Carder of Glenville, WV.
Gary enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and hunting. Gary retired from Bennett’s Firestone Tire Shop. He was a Marine Veteran and retired from the National Guard.
