Obituary for Florence Shirley Ann Westbrook

Florence Shirley Ann (Gibson) Westbrook, 75, of Camden, passed away at United Hospital Center on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 following a brief illness. Shirley was born in Castle Shannon, PA on October 22, 1945 to the late Blaine William Gibson and Edna Effie (Curtis) Gibson. Shirley was united in marriage to Hubert Gaston Westbrook, who preceded her in death.

Remembering their time with Shirley are two sons: Charles R. Gibson and wife Sara of Camden and Hubert Arnold Westbrook of Weston, one step-daughter: Rosetta Henline of Elkins, two step-sons: Ed and Rusty Henline both of Elkins, 21 grandchildren: Megan Rowell, Mickey Sias, Tyler Riffle, Tristan Riffle, Trae Thorn, Trevor Thorn, Austin Sias, Deseray Maxwell, Makenna Butcher, Matthew Gibson, Charlie Gibson, Selena Swiger, Summer Westbrook, Hayelee Westbrook, Hubert Westbrook Jr., Trenton Westbrook, Kasyn Westbrook, Reagan Westbrook, Jessica Sheppard, Andy Buckhannon and Lucas Buckhannon, 14 great-grandchildren: Madison McVay, Emerson Rowell, Lylayna Sias, Grover Sias, Gabriel Sias, Paislyns Rexroad, Owen Brown, Landyn Brown, Tollison Lunsford, Scott Maxwell Paige Buckhannon, Layla Buckhannon and Haylie Buckhannon, 3 brothers: Robert Gibson of Weston,Denzil Gibson and Freddy Gibson of Ohio, one special niece Ronda Gibson and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by two daughters: Linda Gail Westbrook and Leanna Dawn Hope, three brothers: Jim Gibson, Chuck Gibson and Art Gibson, 3 sisters: Edna Mae Suttle, Mary Strayback and Juanita Gibson and a companion of 30 years Russell Henline.

Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the board game Aggravation with her family and friends. Shirley had a passion for Angels and sunflowers and loved to collect them. She loved to go out to eat anywhere she could eat shrimp. Shirley cherished her time blackberry picking. Above everything, she loved every minute spent with her family and friends.

Shirley’s wish to be cremated will be honored by Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston, WV. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Shirley may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
