Obituary for Ezra James "Jim" Waugh
Ezra James “Jim” Waugh, 89, of Homeland Addition Jane Lew passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Upshur County on January 9, 1929: son of the late Ezra James Waugh and Lucetta C. (Gregory) Waugh. On June 2, 1951, he married his wife of 67 1/2 years; Mary (Grogg) Waugh, who survives.
He is also survived by three Daughters: Marsha A. (Bob) Taylor of Weston, Linda (Rick) Kramm of Horner and Stacey Waugh and husband John Ree, one son: David Waugh of Weston, 8 grandkids: Lisa Boysen, Bobby Taylor (deceased), Erin Daugherty, Andy Taylor, Josh Kramm, Derek, Kramm, Allison Ree and Ezra Ree and 8 great grandchildren: Taylor Boysen, Kristen Craig, Andrew Boysen, Jenna Waugh, Quentin, Maia and Timmy Daugherty and Brex Taylor. He is also survived by 2 step great grandchildren: Melissa Marine and Mark DeCosta and 4 step great great grandchildren: Arianna and Eleanra Marine and Mark and Maximus DeCosta. Jim is also survived by one brother: Hartzel Waugh of Weston, several nieces and nephews and a special family friend; Judy Martini. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one grandson: Bobby Taylor, one sister: Dencie Moneypenny and three brothers: George, Tinker and Bob Waugh.
Mr. Waugh was a glassworker with the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company for several years. He was a Methodist by faith. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He was active with the Stonecoal Lake Fishing Club where he helped with Bingo and was past president. Mr. Waugh was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend David Riddle officiating.
