Obituary for Eva Jean Ramsey
Eva Jean Ramsey, 79, of Jane Lew, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 14, 2022 following an illness at Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jane Lew. She was born on November 16, 1942, daughter of the late Marion and Grace Collins. Eva was united in marriage on August 22, 1959, to the late Jack Ramsey who preceded her in death on August 5, 2000. Together they shared a wonderful 58 years.
Eva is survived by 2 sons: Jesse Ramsey and wife Beth of Jane Lew and Donald Ramsey and wife Patricia of Jane Lew, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 sister: Doris Smarr and husband Frank of Weston and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Waneta Riddle and Jennifer Stump, 1 sister: Linda Baker, and 2 brothers: Charles Collins and Jimmy Collins.
Eva was Interdenominational by faith. She was unable to attend church. She supported and listened to Pastor Tom Sears of New Beginnnings Church of Good Hope, WV. She would listen to Pastor Tom Sears on the radio. Eva was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed being with friends and family and being outdoors. Eva loved gardening, taking care of her lawn, and going on long nature walks through the woods. Eva was always ready to help family, friends, and even strangers that would need help at all hours of the day.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 12PM-1PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Hoover officiating. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew.
