Elsie Elizabeth Stewart, 91, of Copley, OH passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Copley Health Center of Copley, OH following an extended illness. She was born in Hurst, WV on May 31, 1928: daughter of the late Harvey and Gladys Hurst. On October 9, 1959, she married Forrest D. Stewart, who preceded her in death on August 8, 1986.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her loving son: Forrest Michael Stewart of Copley, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Forrest, Elsie was preceded in death by one brother: Thurman Hurst and one sister: Ruby Gum.
Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Akron, Ohio. Before her health waned, she enjoyed working in her flower garden, collected for March of Dimes and assisted the Akron City Council. Earlier in life , she worked at the City Hospital of Weston.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Father John Valentine officiating.
