Obituary for Eloise Carol Sprouse
Eloise Carol Sprouse, 79, of Weston passed away on Sunday, December 19th, 2021 in the Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Weston, WV on January 8th, 1942, daughter of the late James and Agnes Rowan. Carol was united in marriage on March 21st, 1964 to the late Leonard D. Sprouse, who preceded her in death on March 23rd, 2008.
Cherishing the life of Carol are 1 daughter: Shawna Turner and husband Gary of Murphy Creek, 9 grandchildren: Chrystal Miller, Rachael Freeman and fiancé Rob Kuhn, Leslie Pratt and companion Gail Herrick, David Fox, Jennifer Dresher, Caityln Turner and boyfriend Brandon Heath, Emily Taylor and husband Andy, Jamie Turner and wife Paris, and Gary Turner II and wife Crystal, 16 great grandchildren: Thomas Pratt, David Paisley, Hope Miller, Chase Freeman, Parker Kuhn, Kyra Toms and husband Trenton, Elizabeth Pratt, Jacob Bassell, Holden Turner, Anthony Turner, Landon Heath, Braelyn Heath, Peyton Turner, Riley Turner, Easton Turner, and Finnley Toms, 2 special niece’s: Rosemary Pozonitz and Rachael Aleshire, and 1 special sister: Rosie Pozonitz.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Eva Diane Harter and Dreama Lynn Harter, 2 brothers: Robert Rowan and Robert Fisher, 2 sisters: Sheryl Thomas and Opal Pozonitz.
Carol had retired from Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Maternity Ward as a nurse’s aide with 30+ years of service. She has helped deliver many babies over the years. Carol was a member of the Murphy Creek Baptist Church. She loved her kitty cat Sophia. Most of all, Carol cherished being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed every minute spent with her grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 from 5-7PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 at 11AM from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating.
