Donald Clevenger, Sr., 75, of Jacksons Mill Road, Weston, WV passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. He was born in Gilmer County on September 2, 1944: son of the late Thomas Clevenger and Druzella Moore Clevenger. Mr. Clevenger was married to Sandra (Gregory) Clevenger, who preceded him in death on February 5, 2016.
Donald is survived by a son, Donald Clevenger, Jr of Weston and one daughter, Cynthia Lents also of Weston, WV and three grandchildren: Willow, Bryce and Harmony. Mr. Clevenger is also survived by one brother, Richard Clevenger of Grafton, OH, 2 sisters Mary Lockhart of Weston and Madge Eisenhart of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clevenger was a forklift operator with Heco Company of Dyerburgs, TN. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cornhole and horseshoe pitching.
Mr. Clevenger’s request of cremation is being honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday May 11, 2019 at 12pm from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel. There will be Fellowship time on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. A private graveside service at Rock Grove Cemetery of Linn will be held at the convenience of Donald’s family at a later date.
