David Eugene Lester, age 63, of 690 Locust Avenue, Weston, WV passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020. He was born on November 28th, 1956 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Paul Robert Lester and Kathleen (Wright) Lester. He was united in marriage on September 14th, 2004 to Marie (Jackson) Worley who survives.
David is also survived by 1 daughter: Kendra Schneider and husband Ryan of Hampton, VA, 3 granddaughters: Kylie, Haley and Joslyn Schneider who visited often, 2 brothers: John G. Lester of Blairs, VA and Charles E. Lester and wife Janet of Dallas, NC and son Tyler Lester, and 2 sisters: Ella LaFave of Portsmouth, VA and Margaret L. Reep of Portsmouth, VA. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Carol Sue Ward, Elizabeth (Betsy) Lester and Roberta Frances Lester.
David grew up in Portsmouth, VA and worked many years as a car salesman and moved to Weston, WV in the nineties. He and his brother Charles opened an antique store on Main Avenue in Weston. David loved to go to auctions and yard sales and sell things on Ebay. He also enjoyed watching baseball on TV, especially the NY Yankees.
David’s request for cremation has been honored by Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston, WV. No services will be held here in Weston, WV and his ashes will be sent to his daughter, where they will be available to his family members for a celebration of life service at a later date.
