Obituary for Darrell Frances Sprouse
Darrell Frances Sprouse, 59, of Weston left this world on Thursday, April 19, 2019 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lewis County on March 29, 1960: son of the late John V. Sprouse and Goldie Irene (Donaldson) Sprouse.
Darrell is survived by two brothers: Roy D. Sprouse and Kenneth E. Sprouse both of Weston, two sisters: Janet Ware of Ireland and Nancy Shackleford of Glenville and several nieces and nephews. He had very special friends/family that were always there for him Christy Krafft known as Mama to Darrell, she will miss the 12 o'clock phone calls from him, Jason Krafft, William Goldsmith, Shane Goldsmith, David Hughes, Haley Morgan, Jordan and Faith Krafft who called him brother Darrell. In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Richard Sprouse, one sister: Carolyn Mayo and his long-time companion Ruth Ann Hefner, who was the love of his life and passed away on July 10, 2018 that he missed dearly.
Darrell was a glass worker with West Virginia Glass Specialty Company for several years, cut right-of- ways, and worked for Weston Transfer. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, ATV riding, cookouts, as well as wild mushroom picking. Darrell enjoyed the company of family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him and were touched by his spirit.
Darrell was a free spirit and his wishes for cremation have been fulfilled. There will be a Celebration of Life in Darrell’s memory at a later date. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Darrell may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
