Dana Earl Butcher, 64, of Weston passed away at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital on April 3rd, 2021. He was born in Weston on November 4th, 1956 to the late Kenneth Earl Butcher and Eula Pauline (Cutlip) Butcher. In addition to his parents, Dana was preceded in death by one brother William Kent Butcher.

Dana was survived by 2 sons: Dana “Punky” Lawrence Butcher and Lucas Hayden Butcher both of Weston, 1 grandchild: Peyton Butcher, 1 brother Marvin Eugene Butcher and wife Loretta Sue of Webster Springs, WV, 1 sister Cathy Diane Williams and husband Edward James of Camden-on-Gauley, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Dana worked in Maintenance at Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon, WV for 10+ years. He attended Gee Lick United Methodist Church as a child. Dana enjoyed “Junking”. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Dana’s wish for cremation has been honored by Hardman Family Funeral Home. On Thursday, April 8th, 2021 fellowship time will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV with a Celebration of Life Service being held at 6:00 PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be sent to Hardman Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 1287 Weston, WV 26452 for funeral expenses.
