Obituary for Cora Elizabeth Winans (Cogar)
Cora Elizabeth Winans, 74, of Alum Fork Road Camden passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. She was born in Upshur County on January 14, 1944: daughter of the late Elles Thomas Cogar and Vesta Alice Houghton Cogar. On June 24, 1967, she married John Henry Winans, who survives.
Mrs. Winans is also survived by one son John Wayne Winans of Camden, one brother Robert Cogar of Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews.
Cora was a glassworker with Jane Lew Glass Factory, Colonial Glass and Louie Glass Factory. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Cora’s wishes for a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from the Snyder Cemetery of Churchville, WV with Pastor Bill Hunt officiating.
