Obituary for Clyde Fay Conrad

Clyde Fay Conrad, 82, of Weston, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lewis County on May 10, 1940, son of the late Stanton Henry and Minnie Edith (Williams) Conrad.

Cherishing the memories of Clyde are 5 daughters; Carrie Conrad and fiancé Buck Stalnaker of Jane Lew, Sherry Landers and husband Howard II of Buckhannon, Mary Blake of Weston, Terri Blake of Weston, and Victoria Conrad of Florida, 2 sons; Frankie Conrad and wife Sheena of Weston, and Jerry Blake and wife Katelyn of Roanoke, 18 grandchildren; Maison, Maddison, Bryant, Trinity, Jadynn, Joelene, Jozlynn, Brandon, Brycen, Braylee, Brooklyn, Bridgette, Brayden, Matthew, Colby, Michaelyn, Glenn, and David, 2 great grandchildren; Brylynne and Braxton, 1 brother; Ray Conrad of Jane Lew, 1 sister; Waneda Riffle of Florida, several nieces and nephews, and Charles Marsh, Jr., who was like a son to Clyde.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by a son Clyde Dale Conrad, 2 brothers; Jimmy Conrad and Virgil Conrad, and 4 sisters; Wilma Pumphrey, Geneva Vankirk, Mary Buckhannon, and Thelma Pumphrey.

Clyde worked in his younger years in the Oil and Gas Industry. He enjoyed working on his mowers and loved mowing his yard to perfection on a weekly basis. Clyde had a hobby of hunting, especially taking his coonhounds out to coon hunt. Clyde’s dog companion “Hank” will miss him dearly. He was a very proud dad and grandfather and cherished time spent with his family at his home gathering for dinner.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 12PM-2PM. The funeral service will begin at 2PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating. Interment will follow services at the Titchenell Cemetery in Braxton County.
