Obituary for Charles Ross "Blackberry" Marple

Charles Ross “Blackberry” Marple, 73, of Weston passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born in Lewis County on October 2, 1946: son of the late Harley Marple and Minnie (Hitt) Marple. On September 25, 1977, he married Virginia (King) Marple, who survives.

Mr. Marple is also survived by two daughters: Jennifer Marple and Angel Marple both of Weston, one son: Charlie Marple of Weston, four grandchildren: Brittney Wikline, Hanna Wickline, Chase Wickline and Chance Marple and four great-grandchildren: Macie Butcher, Terry Pumphrey, Donald Pumphrey and Miah Wickline. He is also survived by one brother: Dennis Marple of Weston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Blackberry was preceded in death by one son: Timothy Marple and one brother: Harley Marple.

Mr. Marple was an employee of Weston Transfer and the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company both of Weston. He enjoyed any kind of hunting, fishing and wrestling. He loved his God and family and especially his grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating.
