Obituary for Carolyn Mae Sias
Carolyn Mae Sias, 80, of Weston passed away on Monday, October 5th, 2020 at Holbrook on the Hill of Buckhannon, WV surrounded by all her family. She was born in Weston, WV on May 9th, 1940 daughter of the late Donzel Cure Ty Johns and Edna Mae (Bennett) Johns. Carolyn was united in marriage on April 15th, 1963 to Paul W. Sias who preceded her in death on July 12th, 2014.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Candace Donaldson of Weston, WV, Susan Sias-Brown and husband Gary of Manassas, VA, and Sandy Beam and companion Anthony Tomaro of Weston, WV, 2 sons: Doug Sias and wife Beckie and Scott Sias and wife Wendy both of Weston, WV, 18 grandchildren: Christopher Donaldson, Deadra Donaldson, Gary Sias, Terissa Shaffer, Taylor Sias, Ty Sias, Tandra Sias, Megan Lauter, Jared Lauter, Justin Lauter, Tanner Brown, Mason Brown, Mike Sias Jr., Brittany Sias, Autumn Sias, Corrie Beam, Brooke Beam, and Lexi Beam, 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister: Janet Montgomery and husband Pete of Weston, WV. In addition to her parents and husband Paul, Carolyn was preceded in death by one son: Mike Sias, one sister: Saundra Wilson and son-in-law Wayne Donaldson.
Carolyn was a graduate of Weston High School. She attended both Valley Chapel and Mt. Morris United Methodist Churches. She was a stay at home loving mother and worked in Home Health Care for many years. She enjoyed music, reading, gardening and loved her flowers. Her most treasured moments were spending time with family and praising God.
Friends and family will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 North Main Avenue Weston, WV 26452 on Friday October 9th, 2020 from 4:00PM-6:00PM with a private family service starting at 6:00PM with Reverend Kenny Kendall officiating. Following services and at Carolyn’s request, she will be cremated and a private graveside services will be held at the Mt Morris Church Cemetery at a later date.
