Obituary for Carol Sue Stephenson (Bennett)
Carol Sue (Bennett) Stephenson, 84, of Jane Lew, WV went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 7th, 2021 at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown. Sue was born on August 23rd, 1937 in Lewis County, daughter of the late Camden E. Bennett and Mary Kathrina Hinter. Sue was united in marriage on March 26th, 2014 to Newton “Jack” Jackson Stephenson, who preceded her in death on August 31st, 2016.
Cherishing the life of Sue are 3 children: Leslie Kim Annonio and husband Dave of Morgantown, Stephen Leonard Weaver and wife Patty of Weston and Linda Sue Weaver of Jane Lew, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Barbara Jean Brown and husband Edwin of Harlingen, TX and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by 1 son Christopher Lowell Weaver and 1 sister: Mary Ann Squires.
Sue was a graduate of Weston High School class of 1955. During her high school years, she was very active in the Glee Club and a part of the All State Chorus her junior and senior years. She was a homemaker and cherished taking care of her family. Sue was a dedicated Christian. She was very active in the Lewis County Senior Center. Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private viewing and service will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home on Friday, October 15th, 2021. Interment will follow services at Peterson Cemetery in Weston. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Lewis County Senior Center at 171 W. 2nd St. Weston, WV 26452.
