Carol Sue (Gillespie) Lovett, 79, of Weston entered into her eternal home on Friday, February 5th, 2021 at United Hospital Center. She was born on March 30th, 1941 in Weston to the late Southern Gillespie and Virginia (Brown) Gillespie. Sue was united in marriage to Harold Lovett Sr., who preceded her in death on October 30th, 2007.
Sue’s life will forever be remembered in the lives of her 3 sons: Harold Lovett Jr. and wife Barbara of Horner, WV, Robert Linn Lovett of Weston, WV and William Lovett of Weston, WV, 4 grandchildren: Jeremy D. Read of Virginia Beach, VA, Mariah J. Wagner of Buckhannon, WV, Mason L. Lovett of Horner, WV and Derrick Lovett of Laurel, MD, 3 great-grandchildren: Declan C. Read, Ryker L. Wagner and Charlie Ann Read, 1 brother: Butch Gillespie of Buckhannon, WV, 2 sisters: Karen Gillespie Dutchess of Lost Creek, WV and Sharon Gillespie of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a brother James Gillespie.
Sue was a graduate of Weston High School. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and watching Alaska Last Frontier and WVU Mountaineers football and basketball on TV. Sue had a passion for collecting mushroom statues and has collected many over the years. Sue will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
