Obituary for Carol Elaine Jeffries (Lambert)
Carol Elaine Jeffries, 81, of Weston passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Crestview Nursing Home of Jane Lew following a brief illness. She was born in Marion County on October 21, 1937: daughter of the late Laco J. Lambert and Maxine M. (Moran) Lambert. On September 8, 1954, she married Ernest Lane Jeffries, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2009.
Carol was blessed with four children: Katherine A. Bidinger and husband Kevin J. of Dover, OH, Ernest L. “Jeff” Jeffries, Jr. of Buckhannon, Cristy D. Jeffries and Kelly L. Orsini both of Los Vegas, NV, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings: Jim Lambert of Weston, Beverley Hines-Brown and Sara B. Huntz both of Jane Lew and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Ernest, Carol was preceded in death by one sister: Laquita B. Breen.
Mrs. Jeffries was employed with the West Virginia Water Board for several years. She was a Methodist by faith. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, writing and painting. Her family said she was a great baker. Carol was also the family genealogist.
Carol’s request for cremation will be honored and a private Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Matthew United Methodist Church at the convenience of the family.
