Obituary for Carl Edward Bee
Carl Edward Bee, 80, of Weston passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, WV. Carl was born in Orlando, WV on April 22, 1942, son of the late James Adam and Alta Mae (Blake) Bee. Carl was united in marriage on July 13, 1963 to Rena Bell (Eagle) Bee, who survives sharing a loving 59 years together.
Cherishing the life of Carl are his wife Rena, 2 daughters, Barbara Darlene John and husband Tim of Weston and Debra Ann Pratt and companion Doug Knight of Weston, 4 grandchildren, Chace Ruble, Seth Ruble, Ashley Pratt, and Britney Godfrey, 5 great grandchildren, Levi Murphy, Kyle Donaldson, Gavlin Alderman, Kalyn Godfrey, Caiden Ruble and one grandson on the way, 1 half-brother Donnie Ray Spinks and wife Pam of Weston, 1 half-sister Helen Blake of Weston, several nieces and nephews and longtime family member Tim Ruble.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill and Jackie Bee and 2 sisters, Shirley Eagle and Marilee Cole.
Carl worked as a glass worker for Colonial Glass in Weston for 15 years. He also worked for the Lewis County School Board of Education as a Custodian at Central School and Peterson Central School in Weston for 27 years. Carl was a member of the Horner United Methodist Church. He loved to go hunting and fishing. Carl also enjoyed taking road trips in West Virginia with family and having picnics along the road. Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Philip Strauss officiating. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew, WV.
