Obituary for Burldeane Mae Stein (Brown)
Burldeane Mae Stein, 82, of 401 John Street Weston passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. She was born in Gilmer County on July 22, 1937: daughter of the late Claudius Ray Brown and Rebecca Ellen (Settle) Brown. On September 20, 1958, she married Lester Elwood Stein, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1967.
Mrs. Stein is survived by two daughters: Deborah Ellen Greaver and husband John of Clarksburg and Evelyn Louise Krysz of Weston, one son: Louis R. Stein of Elkins, 10 grandchildren: Joseph and Christopher Goldsmith, Racheal Weese, Ethan Greaver, Haven Gabbert, Sabbath Chappell, John Daniel and Amanda Jo Greaver, Melanie Rock and Andrea Greaver and 4 great-grandchildren: Landon, Brandon, Halen and Acea Graever. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lester, Burldeane was also preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Hall Brown and Luther Brown and three sisters: Isabelle Corathers, Annetta Ruth Simms and Marjorie Foster.
Mrs. Stein was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing with her cat, Jax. She liked to read daily devotionals. Her hobbies include board games, puzzle books and especially watching TV. She will be greatly missed by family and her friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Dwayne Brown officiating.
