Obituary for Anna Mae Wilmoth (Winans)

Anna Mae (Winans) Wilmoth, 78, departed this life Thursday, June 17th, 2021, following a brief illness. She was a resident of Stonerise Nursing Home in Nutter Fort, WV. Anna Mae was born on January 16th, 1943 in Camden, WV daughter of the late Brent F. Winans and Alta M. (Puffenbarger) Winans. She was united in marriage on July 15th, 1991 to Shirley Frederick Wilmoth, who preceded her in death on September 4th, 2018. Anna Mae was also preceded in death by three brothers: Brent (Cecil) Winans, Robert Lee Winans and William Edward Pope.

Cherishing Anna Mae’s life are four step children: Sandra Bennett of Laura, OH, Roy Darrell Wilmoth of Houston, TX, Edward Lee Wilmoth of Winchester, VA and James Allen Wilmoth of Horner, WV, two sisters: Emma Jean Sharier of West Lafayette, OH and Donna J. Goldsmith of Weston, WV, five brothers: John H. Winans, Tommy Winans, Daniel C. Winans, Stephen B. Winans and Ronald J. Winans all of Lewis County, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae was a retired glassworker and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes and serving them to her family. Anna Mae also enjoyed sewing and crocheting when able. She was very dedicated to her faith in God and attended the Methodist Church prior to her total disability. Anna Mae will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Kenny Kendall officiating. Interment will follow services at the Langford Cemetery in Gilmer County.
