Obituary for Ann Louise Cunningham (Crawford)

Ann Louise Cunningham, 86, of Jane Lew went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport, WV. She was born in Marion County on June 21, 1933: daughter of the late Clarence Carter Crawford and Martha Harriett (Curry) Crawford. On December 27, 1954, she married William E. “Bill” Cunningham, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2011.

Mrs. Cunningham is survived by three loving daughters: Polly Southern and husband Roger of Bridgeport, Jill Harman and husband Bob and Amy Cook and husband Allen both of Buckhannon, 9 grandchildren: Julie Snider, Marlana Beal, Chad Southern, Jenna Symons, Brett Harman, Jared Harris, Lesley Pertz, Natalie Southern and Luke Southern and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bill, Ann was preceded in death by two brothers: James William Crawford and Clarence Carter Crawford, Jr. and one sister: Dorothy Jean Crawford Lightner.

Mrs. Cunningham was an employee of the Lewis County Board of Education as a secretary at the Jane Lew Schools with 21 years of service. She was a graduate of Lost Creek High School and a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church of Jane Lew. Ann was a good cook and known for her delicious pies at family reunions and church dinners. She also enjoyed reading.

Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Bill Coffindaffer and Pastor Allen Burnsworth officiating.
