Obituary for Angela J. "Angie" Riddle (Shipman)
Angela J. “Angie” Riddle, 73, of Wolf Pen Run Road Weston passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021 in St. Joseph Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. Angie was born in Buckhannon, WV on January 21, 1948: a daughter of the late Harley Arbon Shipman and Cleo Virginia (Dilworth) Shipman. On July 3, 1991, Angie was united in marriage to Robert J. “Butch” Riddle who survives and will miss her beyond measure.
Surviving is daughter: Andrea “Andi” Lamb and husband Dave of Jane Lew, son: Robert “Bob” Wentz and wife Julie of Cornelius, NC, grandchildren: Tara Fisher of Jane Lew, WV, Jared Lamb and Jessie Eldred of Ranson, WV and Lauren Wentz and Megan Wentz of Cornelius, NC and great grandchildren: Landon and Rylee Fisher of Jane Lew, WV, Also surviving is step-son: Rob Riddle and wife Bobbi and step- grandchildren: Samantha and Lexi Riddle of Huntington, WV, sisters: Sylvia Dean and husband Don of Buckhannon, WV and Virginia Yocum and husband Thomas of Belington, WV and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Angie in death are siblings: Bobby Samuel Shipman, Elizabeth Dean Reeves and Harley Randall “Buck” Shipman.
Angie was a cook for the Lewis County Board of Education for several years. She spent many hours in her doll shop where she made many beautiful dolls and their clothing. She was an avid reader, loved dirt track racing, NASCAR, flower gardening and Longaberger baskets.
At her family’s request, there will be a private family visitation and private graveside services in the Harrison Grove Cemetery with Pastor Mark Evans officiating.
