Obituary for Amanda Jean Potter

A big heart, Amanda Jean Potter, 40, formerly of Weston, left this Earth way too soon on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Charleston. She was born in Weston on February 11, 1982 and was forever reunited with her parents in Heaven, Andrew and Jean (Thorne) Potter, who preceded her in death.

Amanda’s smile will forever be missed by her daughter, Jyllian Potter of Milford, OH, a brother, Andrew Potter II of Weston, WV, nephew, Andrew Potter III, and cousin, Lisa Farrell of Temple, TX.

Amanda was a graduate of Lewis County High School class of 2000. She furthered her education and earned a degree in Criminal Justice at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. She had worked for the Department of Children Services in Morgantown. She also enjoyed working at the Hilltop Bar in Camden for her parents. Amanda was a big “history buff” and knew much history regarding Weston and West Virginia. Amanda had the biggest heart and thought of others before herself. Her outgoing nature and helpful hands will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Amanda’s request for cremation has been honored by Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1PM from the funeral home chapel. Fellowship time will be held prior to the service from 11AM-1PM. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Amanda may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.

Hardman Family Funeral Home of Weston considers it an honor and a privilege to serve the family of Amanda Jean Potter.
