Obituary for Amanda Marie Hinkle

Amanda Marie Hinkle, 34, of West Palm Beach, Florida, gained her angel wings March 21, 2019, at 9:26 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. Amanda was born June 22, 1984, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, a daughter of Linda Lang Gipko. Amanda grew up in Webster Springs and Weston, West Virginia. She graduated from Lewis County High School with the class of 2002 and attended Fairmont State College. She enjoyed sports and excelled at softball and basketball in grade school, junior high and high school, and also as a cheerleader for Webster County. Amanda loved music, and served as field commander of the Webster County Junior High Band.
Amanda loved life and worked with several organizations in South Carolina with much success to help others find the way to a better life, speaking at functions and one on one sessions with Bible studies. She made an impact on each person she worked with, giving her life meaning and purpose. Amanda now lives through three people whose lives she saved by choosing to be an organ donor, and was honored with the first Walk of Honor for a hero at the Good Samaritan Medical Center at the end of her life.
Along with her mother, Linda, other family members who will miss her are Madison McKenzie Gipko, Michael Gipko and Carol Lang, all of Florence, South Carolina, plus several cousins in West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clyde Lang, who loved her dearly. A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held at a later date. The family thanks the many friends that have shown wonderful support during the time of their loss of Amanda. Her beautiful smile will forever remain in everyone’s hearts.
