Obituary for Alma Mae Leavitt (Hanlin)

Alma Mae Leavitt, 85, affectionately known as “Bye Bye” of Weston went to her Heavenly home on Friday, October 28th, 2022 at Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born in Vindex, MD on August 3rd, 1937: daughter of the late Alvin M. Hanlin, Sr. and Mildred (Shugars) Hanlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Glenna Miller and Nelda Hanlin and three brothers: Alvin Hanlin, Jr., Billy Hanlin and Glenn “Mikey” Hanlin.

Alma attended Haleville Union Mission Church of Weston.

Alma’s life will be remembered by three sisters: Nadara Spangler, Nina Haskell and Dorothy Menear, six brothers: Jimmy Hanlin, Dale Hanlin, Darrell Hanlin, Kenny Hanlin, Gary Hanlin and Bobby Hanlin and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating.
