Obituary for Alexandra S. "Ali" Hamrick

Alexandra S. “Ali” Hamrick, 27, of Morgantown, WV went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on May 13, 1992: daughter of Jennifer Phillips and second father Mark Workman of Good Hope, Thomas Moody and step mother Robin Spencer of Buckhannon. Ali is also survived by her companion: Ben Determan of Morgantown.

Ms. Hamrick is also survived by her two daughters: Scarlet Quinn and Madelynn Blaire Hamrick. Also surviving is one brother: Tommy Moody of Alum Bridge, one sister: Adaire Snyder of Jane Lew and two Step-sisters Meghan Workman Cavender of Cross Lanes and Ashton Ackerman of Buckhannon along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ali is also survived by her maternal grandfather: James B. Phillips and fiancé Camilla Swartling of New Martinsville. Ali was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Patricia Phillips, paternal grandparents: Francis Moody and Eugene Moody and one infant niece: Adalynn Snyder.

Ali was a homemaker and a “Mom.” She was a graduate of Lewis County High School and attended Fairmont State College. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her girls. Ali will be missed by all who knew her.She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church.

At Ali and her family’s request, she will be cremated. A Fellowship gathering will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. from Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV 26452. A Celebration of Life Service in memory of Ali will be held on at 1 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Tim Conrad officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Masonic Cemetery of Good Hope, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Ali may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
