Betty Ellen Feeney, 82, Edgewood Drive Weston passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Seller’s Personal Care Home of Jane Lew following a brief illness. She was born in Terra Alta on January 14, 1933: daughter of the late Wade and Hazel Frankhouser. On April 12, 1958, she married Thomas V. Feeney, Jr, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2011.
Mrs. Feeney is survived by one daughter: Joanna “Josie” Britton and husband Kevin of Weston, one son: Thomas Vincent Feeney, III of Tampa, FL, one grandson: Wade Britton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Tom, Betty was preceded in death by one brother: William Frankhouser and two sisters: Pat Vandervort and Jeanene Shillito.
Mrs. Feeney was a homemaker. She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church of Weston, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a graduate of Preston County High School with the class of 1950 and attended business college. Betty was a volunteer with the Teresa Snaith Auxillary of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston and volunteered with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her children, grandson Wade and all of her many friends. She will be sadly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be recited on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. from St Patrick Church of Weston with Reverend J. Stephen Vallelonga as celebrant. Interment will follow services in Machpelah Cemetery of Weston, WV.A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from the funeral home chapel.
