Obituary for Ethel Carolyn Moss (Thompson)

Ethel Carolyn Moss, 65, of Burnsville passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Elkins on March 22, 1954: daughter of the late Richard Thompson and Lovie (Thomason) Thompson. She married Kenneth Darrell Moss, who preceded her in death on April 10, 1995.

Mrs. Moss is survived by five loving children: Amanda Jackson of Martin, TN, Jennifer Dichoso and husband David of Cleveland, OH, Maude Frazee of Glenville, Jessica Delancey and husband Carl of West Plains, MO and Timothy Moss and wife Angela of Burnsville and one son: Kenneth Darrell Moss, II who preceded her in death. Carol is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Sean, Devon & Erin Jackson, William & Hope Butler, Jasmine Dichoso, Casey & Kayla Clevenger, Dezirae Frazee, Kenneth & Alexander Shuman, and Austin, Damon, Kenneth, Skyler and Landry Moss, one grandchild, Sheamus Jackson preceded her in death and one great-granddaughter: Aubrey Jackson. She is also survived by one brother: Harley Thomason and wife Kay of Weston, two sisters: Vera Lipscomb of Hamilton, WV and Flora Hamric and husband John of Normantown and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Moss had been a Certified Nursing Assistant at Minnie Hamilton Healthcare Center in Grantsville, worked as a telemarketer with IPACESETTERS in Weston and also was a caregiver for the elderly. Carol’s grandchildren were her greatest joy. She loved going to their sporting events and spending any time she could with them.

Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Rita Cochran officiating.
