Obituary for George Joseph Lattea
George Joseph Lattea, 49, of Weston passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport following a brief Illness. He was born in Lewis County on December 19, 1969: son of George W. Lattea and Rosemary (Goldsmith) Lattea.
Mr. Lattea is survived by two children: Chelsea Renee Lattea of Romney and Joseph Wayne Lattea of Weston and four grandchildren: Owen and Sadie Jo Lattea and Mackenzie and Issac Green. He is also survived by two brothers: William Raymond “Bill” Lattea and wife Diane of Buckhannon,and James “Jim” Lattea and wife Barbara of Weston, one daughter-in-law:Kasey Lattea of Camden and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lattea worked in maintenance with Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital and had worked at Weston Transfer. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School with the class of 1989. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and go-cart racing. His greatest joy was spending time with friends, family and especially his grandkids.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Martin Wine officiating.
