Obituary for Minnie Esther Greathouse (Rexroad)

Minnie Esther Greathouse, 85, of Spring Street Weston passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Genesis Healthcare of Glenville, WV following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on October 27, 1932: daughter of the late Clarence Edward Rexroad and Nora Adeline (Starcher) Rexroad. On December 31, 1953, she married Glen A. Greathouse, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2003.
Mrs. Greathouse is survived by three daughters: Debra Ann Stark and husband Thomas, Amy Simmons and husband Kenny and Janet Watson all of Spring Street Weston, five grandchildren: Anthony and Timothy Stark, Stephen Watson, Ashley Wolfe and Kristen Simmons, five great grandchildren: Gavin, Carter, Annessa, Jayce and Jaxton Stark and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Glen, Minnie was preceded in death by five brothers: Henry, Brooks, Roy, Ed and Frank Rexroad and one sister: Marie Sims.
Mrs. Greathouse was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Weston High School with the class of 1952 and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church of Weston. Minnie liked to sew, read, watch her Soap Operas and play Bingo when she was able. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Brian Plum officiating.
