Obituary for Priscilla Pearl Harris Workman (Lake)

Priscilla “Pearl” Harris Workman, 91, of Fisher Hollow Road Weston passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on September 17, 1927: daughter of the late George Vinton Lake and Victoria (Keith) Lake. Pearl first married Carl Harris who preceded her in death. She then married Oley Workman who also preceded her in death.
Pearl is survived by two daughters: Anna Metz of Weston and Barbara Marsh of Bellevue, OH, three sons: Wayne Harris of Arabi, GA, Stanley Harris and wife Lorraine of Weston and George Lake and wife Christine of Burnsville, 4 step daughters and one step son. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and husbands: Carl and Oley, Pearl was preceded in death by one daughter: Charlotte Lonsway, one son: Dana Harris and 7 brothers and sisters.
Mrs.Workman was a cook at the Colonial Restaurant of Weston for several years. She then went to work at Alkahn Labe Factory till she retired. She is a member of the Murphy's Creek Baptist Church. Her hobbies include, sewing, crotcheting, cooking and playing cards. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially boating. Her greatest joy was her family and they will miss her greatly.
Family and friends will be received at the Murphy's Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the church with Pastor Wease Day officiating.
