Obituary for Raymond Clyde Golden

Raymond Clyde Golden, 88, of Klines Run Rd., Alum Bridge passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Glenville Center following a brief illness. He was born in Beech Bottom, WV on September 25, 1929: son of the late Scott Samuel Golden and Nellie Gray (Ables) Golden. On November 16, 1960, he married Marjorie Elizabeth (Exline) Golden, who survives.
Mr. Golden is also survived by one son: Ron Golden and wife Pat of Camden Flatts, one daughter: Diane Montgomery and husband Frank of Linn, five grandchildren: Nikita Propst, James Montgomery, Chris Montgomery, Cody Golden, Jessica Barnett, one great grandchild: Sylvie Montgomery, two brothers Bill Golden, and Bernard Golden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one grandchild, one great grandchild, four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Golden was retired military and a retired mail carrier. He was a member of the Camden Flatts Baptist Church. Raymond loved to play cards, bowl, shoot pool, fish and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Camden Flatts Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Goff officiating. Interment will follow services in the Rock Grove Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
