Obituary for Alma Lee Taylor (Turner)

Alma Lee Taylor, 78, of Weston went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Crestview Nursing Home of Jane Lew following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County on July 24, 1940: daughter of the late Hobert R. Turner and Tyrecy (Williams) Turner.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by four sons:-- Clarence Hugh (Monika) Taylor, Jr. of Germany; granddaughter: Tracy (Denny Jr.) Sheets: great grandsons: Hayden and Chase Atkinson: great granddaughter: Evelyn Sheets; granddaughter: Stephanie (Michael) Purvis: great granddaughter: McKenzie Purvis: great grandson: Zachary Purvis; grandson: Stacey Taylor: great granddaughter: Chloe Taylor: great grandson: Charles Taylor; granddaughter: Justice Taylor, -- (Son) David Ray (Mary)Taylor of Columbia, SC; grandson: Travis (Tawnya) Bennett: great granddaughter: Corin Bennett: great grandsons: Seth, Kaleb, and Grayson Bennett; grandson: Billy Taylor; grandson: Zachory (April) Bennett: great grandsons: Parker, Carson and Hunter Bennett,-- (Son) Marvin Lynn (Mary Beth) Taylor of Charleston; grandson: Joshua Hugh (Sarah) Taylor: great grandsons: Silas Hugh Taylor and Judah Aaron Taylor; grandson: Noah Lee (Kate) Taylor and-- (Son) Arthur Dale (Cheryl) Taylor of Mt Clare; grandson: Arthur Taylor, II: granddaughter: Krystal Riley: great granddaughter: Taylor Ann Riley: great grandson: Alex Scott Riley; grandson: Brian Michael (Misty) Taylor: great grandson: Brian Taylor; granddaughter: Elizabeth Shaffer: great grandson: Grayson Corley ; grandson: Randy Blake. She is also survived by one brother: Billy McCauley of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her former husband: Clarence Hugh Taylor, Sr., one brother: Hobert R. “Skip” Turner and one sister: Georgia Mae Mills.
Mrs. Taylor was a health service worker with William A. Sharpe Hospital with 25+ years of service. She was a graduate of Weston High School with the class of 1958. Alma was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church where she held several offices and was active with dinners for church families and the community.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Brian Plum officiating.
