Obituary for Gladys Marie ""Polly" " Frazier (Heater)

Gladys Marie “Polly” Frazier, 88, of Lunsford Street Weston passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on November 3, 1930: daughter of the late Shirley Heater and Reba (Golden) Heater. On March 21, 1953, she married Jack L. Frazier, who survives.
Polly is also survived by two daughters: Kathy Langley and husband Earl of Good Hope and Karen Frazier of Jane Lew, three grandchildren: Jason Crislip, Kristy Vander Decker and Sean Langley and three great grandchildren: Wyatt Crislip, Ellie Crislip and Grayson Vander Decker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by one brother: James Heater and one sister: Elizabeth DeBarr.
Mrs. Frazier was a homemaker. She retired from Alkaln Label Factory of Weston and did secretarial work for Morris Funeral Home of Jane Lew. Earlier, she taught Head Start in Boone County, WV. Polly was a graduate of Jane Lew High School with the class of 1949. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter# 109 of Good Hope and was known for her cooking for Masonic meals. She was very active as a volunteer at the VA Hospital. Polly was a Methodist by faith. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed sewing, fishing and farming.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jacqueline Chambers officiating. Interment will follow services in the Broad Run Church Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV. Eastern Star services will be held on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel conducted by the OES Chapter#109 of Good Hope, WV.
