Obituary for William Glenn White

William Glenn White, 91, Dry Fork Road, Weston passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Lewis Co. on December 11, 1926: son of the late James Goff White and Mabel Freda Woofter White. He was married 1st to Lillian Alice (Martin) White then to JoAnn Boyce Friend White both of whom are deceased.
Mr. White is also survived by two sons: Larry Friend & Debbie of Weston and William Friend of Buckhannon, three daughters: Alicia Ann Flesher & John of Horner, Sheri Lynne Ellis & Kenneth of Jane Lew, Linda Thompson & Victor of Elkins, and Melissa Gregory who he thought of as his 4th daughter, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, one brother: John Lynn White of Newcastle, WA, three sisters: Annabelle Clark of Midlothian, VA, B. Jean Stalnaker of Clarksburg and Martha Jane Kerns of Jane Lew and many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, wives and three brothers: James S. White, Joseph E. White and Burl L. White, one sister: Wilma Lea Leach and one great grandchild: Joshua T. McClure.
Mr. White was a member of the Freemansburg United Methodist Church and the Gideons International. His main occupation was being a building contractor for many years in the Lewis-Upshur area. His family was his life.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 11-2:00 p.m. with funeral services following. Reverend Clara Peggs will be officiating. Interment will follow services in the Weston Masonic Cemetery.
